Chairman's Address
The Nigeria Association of Social Workers is the umbrella of body of all social work practitioners in Nigeria. The Association was established on 25th October, 1975 in Nigeria’s Premier University. The University of Ibadan. OYONOSOW is the pioneer chapter and presently, the National body has its spread across the 36 states of the federation. Since its establishment in 1975, the Oyo State Chapter has been waxing from strength to strength through conformity with international ethical standard of social work. The State Executive Members is constituted by social work professional including the academia. The State Chapter has made several outreach visits to correctional centres, motherless babies homes, Oyo State Rehabilitation Centre for Persons with disabilities etc. In collaboration with professional from other disciplines, the association has impacted positively on solving social problems as it affects individuals, group of people and communities.
